    Material Editor vs. 3Ds Max Materials

    Hello everybody.
    I've been thinking about this a lot and really got confused. which one to choose?

    3ds max has a powerful material creation system and UDK + UE4 have a stronger system and workflow in creating materials, olus they can do real-time materials as well.

    I don't like the way 3ds max's workflow is, could i ignore that and stick to UE4,UDK material editor?

    I know that is somehow noobish but thats what it is, i'm a newbie now and just strted to go on with 3ds max to create some models

    The only thing in 3ds Max materials that convert over are texture maps, so it doesn't really matter what you do in 3ds max there.
