Games that are able to be imported into UDK

I once heard that it's possible to import Gears of War into UDK to look at all the files. I was wondering if there are any other games that you can do this with. Also, are there any tutorials out there describing this process?

Any game you have the source for you can do this. If you need a tutorial, simply follow a 'starting a project in udk' tutorial and instead of making all the files, place the ones provided in the source. As far as which games you can get, there are a lot that have released the source, but some have been stripped illegally. I'm not 100% sure, but I think any GOW source is probably illegally stripped as I've never seen the source just lying around the forums...

You can't, the files aren't directly compatible and while some games allow modding it's usually illegal to take files out of a game and mess with them.

GOW has its own editor that only works with GOW

although it is possible with some games to simply copy the asset files to udk (the nasa game for example) it is illegal so dont do it.
