(Solved) [Problem] Can't add core to a fractured mesh

In the Fracture tool window, when I click to add core having selected a static mesh in the content browser it says: "the selected static mesh can't be used as a fracture core because its source geometry has been stripped out".

    How can I solve that?

Is it a static mesh that comes with UDK, or is it your own static mesh? If it is the first, you can't use UDK assets as a core, as its source data has been stripped due to its packages being cooked, and all that is left is a compressed version.

However, you could try to export it as an *.obj and import that into your DCC application of choice.

If it is your own static mesh, it should work.

Thank you for answering so fast Godfather, it was a mesh that came with UDK so I'll try with my own ones from 3DS Max.

No problem, glad I could help. Please keep me updated should you have any issues with your own meshes.
