    Breakable Glass Shards Fade

    Hey all,

I have made a skeletal mesh for breakable glass, and so far works well other than the fact that at the moment, the glass tends to 'explode' rather than shatter. I'm guessing this can simply be corrected by playing around with the settings in UnrealPHaT. But the question I'm asking here, is how do you make the shards of glass disappear once they have been shot? Is there a setting in the Properties that needs changing, or something in UnrealPhaT, or something completely different?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated,

    Thanks in advance,
    Chr3z

gradual fade can be done with the opacity property in the material, just destroying the object will make it disappear.

Search for tutorials in the field of MaterialInstanceTimeVarying. That's the type of material that can change according to time, fade for example.

Does anyone know any good tutorials that demonstrates this? Been looking for quite some time but cannot find anything I can use or thats similar to what I'm trying to achieve.
