    Help regarding polygons optimizing

    Hi
    I am new to UDK
    I need some help regarding the optimization of polys
    I created a basic model using daz studio then further modeled it in Zbrush and now after I import it to UDK the model get corrupted with too many holes and edges.
    How to lower it polygon count without sacrifing much of quality......

    IF your model is very tiny when you import it then that is most likely the problem. Just increase it in size BEFORE you export it to UDK. I had this problem sometimes it seems the UDK importer breaks stuff when there too many polygons/unit. If the rescaling doesn't help you can always reduce the polygon count in Zbrush using Qremesher explained at: http://www.pixologic.com/docs/index.php/QRemesher

      You just basically asked "how to be a good 3d artist" :P
      You should look for some 3d artist websites that have tutorials and/or helpful community.
