    Meshes animating together in Matinee

I am trying to animate a door knob turning and a door opening for a camera flythrough. I have tried to make the pivot point of the knob the same as the door after keying rotation. (you have to right click on the mesh to set pivot point so right-clicking in empty space doesn't work..) I have also tried keying the door and knob together... (you must select one or the other) Grouping them together does not work either...

The only solution I can think of would be to make the door+knob as a skeletal mesh and create an animation for the knob turning. (something that I have never done!) Anyone have any other solutions? I feel like there should be an easy way to match the movement via the curve editor.

Try keeping the door knob pivot on the doorknob itself and only animate the turning. Then in kismet use attach to actor to attach the door knob to the door so it move with it automatically when the door opens.

It works! I keyed the animations before hooking up the "attach to actor" node and that resulted in the door rotating in two axes. But with a little bit of poking I got it working! Thank you so much!
