Whats the best way to make Caves ?

    Hey guys,

i need to do some caves for my game but i cant find a good way of making them :/
I was thinking about 2 Terrains and i of them is turned arround. But thats pretty hard to make it fit.

Does someone have a better method for caves ?

    Help is appreciated

    Thanks

Modelling in 3ds Max (or different software like what i say) then export to UDK, create terrain and makes a hole.

I need more kind of bigger caves not just rolled ones. The game is Zelda based so i would need to have bigger ones

you're not looking at the big picture here. the method he proposed works for big caves, he's just telling you to make the cave models as static meshes and then make a hole in your terrain for the entrance (and cover up the seams with rocks and vegetation)

you could also make it with 2 terrains as you said: I'd make a mostly flat terrain as the ground and then the upside-down terrain would be the walls and ceiling, like this:

          ___
         /  \ <--- top terrain

         ____ <--- bottom terrain

          ___
         /___\ <--- both together
