    Gears of War 3 Prologue.

    I'm curious, would anyone know how they'd go about recreating the effect used in the Gears of War 3 prologue. Here's a video if you don't know what I'm talking about (skip to about 1:50):

    I'm referring to the pillars etc. reversing back to their original state. Kinda looks like reverse physics. Anyway I'm no UDK expert but I'd really love to learn how to do something like this so I'd appreciate any help anybody can give.

    It seems like it'd be pretty complex but I didn't see the harm in asking.

    It's probably pre-simulated within something like 3ds Max, then using a rigid body simulation and then they can animated it within UDK like a skeletal mesh.

      I'd say it's almost certainly something like a preset animation, much like darthviper describes.
