UDK cost tracking for Architectural visualisation

    Hello,

We are looking at using UDK for doing some real-time architectural visualisation. We are trying to work out specifics of breaking down how we cost things. It would be really helpful to talk to a company who have done some commercial architectural visualisation projects. I have already read the $500 walkthrough example but I am after more specifics/realistic project examples.

If anyone is willing to talk about the UDK tracking can you please PM me?

Your costs are relatively simple. Each time you produce a discrete project (i.e the product your end user installs or you demonstrate), you are required to pay the one off licensing fee.

We do ArchViz stuff here. In our system, we have tasks set up that we charge time to. Any time an asset is created for UDK (any model work, texture work, sounds/music, etc.) and every time we do any work within UDK, we charge that to a task. There is a dollar amount assigned per hour depending on the client. The total hours spent on that task is then used to figure out the % that goes to Epic.
