What's this MVP thing under some people's names now?
I've noticed that some people have only made about 50 posts and they have this badge and yet others who've posted thousands of times with lots of good advice haven't got it!

Some of those with fewer posts are those who have shipped games with UDK, but aren't necessarily active on the forums.

Well thanks guys but that still must be a selective thing because I know at least ten people on here who've got apps created with UDK and thousands of posts but no badge
I've shipped an app with UDK too
Were you offered the badge or did you ask for it..You two obviously deserve it because you've given tons of great help to thousands of people...

Yep, I think there are plenty of developers who go for an iOS app these days and featuring them all would be a bit over the top.

A mod that a few friends will play and Epic gets no income from, or an app that they earn money from ?

U jelly? ;p Simple fact is they only just started handing them out and logistically, they simply couldn't catch everyone deserving of one on the first pass.

Yeah, we are just the pioneers to see how things work out. There will be more waves of invites as things develop.

But since the badge is so pointless, you probably don't want one anyway.

As for the badges, Im sure many of the people that received them deserved them. Yes I try to help the community as much as I can, however, I'm more than satisfied with simply having people use my released content. That and well my starter kits and sources are all generally free to the public. As it was said earlier, im sure more people who deserve them will receive them later.

Well I know we've had our differences of opinion in the past but as far as I'm concerned, you're a star of the forums and deserve the badge ..
I wouldn't object to one either if it was offered as recognition of my hard work and endless commitment to UDK
