    Texture Blurring

    When first loading a level the surrounding textures in the world appear to be blurred, and then they sharpen. This also occurs when swapping weapons. Can this be changed so it doesn't happen? Is it something built in to the UT code or is it default engine behaviour?

    That's called pop-in, basically it's loading the textures.

    Only way to fix it is to reduce the amount of geometry or textures (to reduce the amount of stuff that has to be loaded into memory) or get better hardware.

      Hmm, what's strange is that it doesn't happen when running the game from the editor. Also the amount of blur when equiping a weapon seems to depend on how far away you are from the weapon factory...:S
