    Got a few questions...

Can I used 3DS Max 2012 yet with UDK? I heard I needed a ActorX exporter but it wasn't supported for some reason. Can anyone explain to me what's up with this. I'm dying to get into development with UDK but this is the only thing stopping me cause my school only offers 2012 for free.

    Sigh...
ya know, the FBX exporter is good too. you do not 'need' ActorX'.
Set FBX exporter preferences to use the 2011 version...

Yes, you can use 3ds Max 2012, you can export with the .ase format for static meshes or use the .fbx format for static meshes or skeletal meshes (you don't need to change the FBX export version to an older version like the other poster said)
