How to save a map as another file (not .udk)?

I am no Unrealscript programmer, but essentially the main programmer of out team has set up a UDK build on the server we use, that only I guess recognizes maps under a certain file extension.

I have been working on a map that I want to test out with that said build on the server, but the map is .udk, and it isn't recognized.

How would I save the map under the file extension it needs to be?

    -Thanks!

Look in DefaultEngine.ini. There is a MapExt entry.

I see it, but it says "changeme"? So do I put the file extension here?

I am unsure of what you are talking about, but I know that you can export an entire map as a .obj or .fbx... I think.

He's talking about the file extension for the map files, it is possible to change it. I doubt you can export and entire map to any file format except text.

ask the programmer to accept .udk files?

or rename your map to what the server is expecting & see what happens?

It should indeed be as easy as renaming the map file, yes.
