Editor UI: Status Bar ( Console Bar ) Documentation missing?

First time user of the Forums so please excuse my newbie question!

Having difficulty finding documentation on the "Status Bar" formally the "Console Bar" in the bottom of the Editor UI. I am unfamiliar with what the "Pulldown" menu field is for... though i have my suspicions

The box there is for entering in console commands: http://udn.epicgames.com/Three/ConsoleCommands.html

Note that not all the commands on that page may necessarily work in the editor (they may only work in game or in "Play in Editor") and that the page is not comprehensive (there are probably more that aren't listed). Hope this helps!
