Personally, I don't like the way the first video is teaching us to make rain (a simple plane with rain material).
I'm looking forward for too much "realism" and always try to make some rain with the particle system. Rain particles that disappears when they hit something. But I guess it takes too much memory for a game.
I haven't watched the second video yet but I guess that's the exact same thing, except that he is using particle system for the water falling down from the structure's roof.

@Mystry : I'm not sure if this will help you, but there is the crowd system where, basically, bots are spawning from one point, going to another one, disappearing, and an other one spawns to replace the one that has disappeared.

Brother is the crowd spawning but these robots are not firing me, i need bots firing me and make my level difficult for clearing..I am making a game as my final year project, for that i need bots which fire at my character..
I think you should create new thread to your question about AI. Unfortunetly, I'm not able to help0 you 'cos I haven't learning about AI. But you reminded me about them and I will search for some tutorials.
