    Content Browser Database

I'm wondering if it is possible to configure a remote database for assets. Suppose I have a web server with SQL Server installed in it, and if there are any updates, the editor will download content from it.

Also, is it mandatory to have a source control software (like Perforce) in order for the above to work?

    Thanks.

I hate to say this word, but anyways, bump.

This is pretty much how version control software like Perforce works. The only way you are going to get something like that working within the Content Browser of UDK is by using Perforce. You could always write your own custom software or use another version control software, like Subversion (SVN), external to UDK if you have a problem with using Perforce.

Just to make sure I understood correctly, Subversion doesn't support checking in and out assets within the content browser?

In theory it can if you install an SCC implementation of SVN (google that). Last time I tried, I couldn't get it working, but it was more than a year ago.
