    A quick questionaire, the answers will be part of my project (based on UDK) which I'm doing as part of my EPQ. Thanks in advance.


    1. How long have you worked with UDK?

    2. Do you enjoy working with UDK?

    3. What do you like most about UDK?

    4. What do you dislike about UDK?

    5. What do you think is the best feature of UDK?

    6. Would you say UDK is easy to use?

    7. Do you think using UDK is the best for making quality games?

    8. What is your overall experience with UDK?

    1. On and off since its release.
    2. Definitely.
    3. UDK is Level Designer / Artist friendly, and Unrealscript provides a lot of possibilities.
    4. Lack of clear documentation / examples in some cases, some limits of engine which are hard to overcome.
    5. UnrealScript, Kismet, Material Editor. All of these are great, really.
    6. Yes.
    7. Every tool has its uses, and it really depends on developer and other factors if the end product is a quality game.

      3 making stuff
      4 lack of audio related docs (atm).
      5 the price tag
      6 yes, until you want to make your own game, then the complexity and possibilities can become overwhelming (not a bad thing).
      7 its people that make games
      8 sitting down usually, clicking the mouse and pressing buttons

        -Since Jan this year.

        2. Do you enjoy working with UDK?

        -Yes I manage to get what I want out of it.

        3. What do you like most about UDK?

        -Awesome licence agreement and the chance to viable enter the game industry.

        4. What do you dislike about UDK?

        -It doesn't do the dishes ;p

        5. What do you think is the best feature of UDK?

        -Monthly updates, keeps things interesting! Kismet.

        6. Would you say UDK is easy to use?

        -To computer minded people yes, but it would go over most people's heads.

        7. Do you think using UDK is the best for making quality games?

        -Not many other engines i'd rather use, if any.

        8. What is your overall experience with UDK?

        -Very nice but I wish the mobile material conversion wasn't so crash happy.
