    Melee weapons

    Hey Guys,
    I am building a level for my Level design class and I want to start the player off with a melee weapon but I have a few questions on how to achieve this.

    1.How do I import a melee weapon
    2. Would the animation set work the same as all other animation sets in the engine?

    by import a melee weapon do you mean import a mesh from another application and make it work as a melee weapon?

      1. as any other object
      2. not at all. regular weapons don't make pawns play an animation when fired, which is (among other things) what you need to do here

      there's plenty of threads about this topic, look around and you'll find how to do it
