    Strange Pathing Issue

    (SOLVED)

    So to sum up the problem: Our pathing (setup with pylons) seems to be tracing itself on the screen during gameplay. It constantly flashes through all the pathing that we have setup.

    A picture should help:



    Any ideas or directions for places to start looking would be great.

    I would start by double checking the placement of the pylons and making sure there are no pylons placed within another's coverage area.

      I've done some narrowing. Its not the pylons directly causing the issue because removing the bots from the pylon space turns off this "debug" feature.

      Basically, it is displaying the geometry of any pylon that a bot is using to navigate. As the bots move from pylon to pylon, so do the debug lines. I'm thinking this could be code related. We used a follower AI tutorial at: http://x9productions.com/blog/?page_...1#comment-2722

        That line is responsible.

          Yup, that was the problem. It took me a little while to find because the line was repeated a few times in the code of our bots, but it works now. Thanks for your reply Evil.
