    How to use APEXDestructible?

Hmm I tried to use APEXDestructible. In properties in Asset I selected Static Mesh or Fractured Static Mesh but has no effect. Bad Actor??

I'm not sure if that is the case but APEX-things need to be preopared in external software like 3ds max with APEX plugin and then exported as APEX file.

But APEX is not yet available for public. Unfortunately. Good side of thing is when it will be it gonna be free.

APEX is not avaible to the public at the moment and I spoke to nvidia and they said it should be released at the end of this month. But I expect early October

That cloth video blew me away. I can't wait to see how well that integrates with UDK.

REALLY need Nvidia to get around to releasing the APEX software asap as i need it for my university dissertation was using physxdistructible but it was very buggy in the August release and as its removed from the September relase Im really hoping for a speedy release of the new tools. Cant wait for them they look really cool.

I'd advise you to change your dissertation topic whilst you still can. Picking something you don't have access to and don't even know when you'll have access to it can only end in disaster.

              Disaster, or lulz.

Best to pick something simple...like Lighting?

There was a decent presentation about APEX Destruction at GDC 2010, btw
                  http://nvidia.fullviewmedia.com/gdc2...aldrikian.html

Gives a basic overview of APEX features and shows authoring process all the way from PhysXLab to UDK
