Player lighting; delays when adjusting to different lighting conditions

I've been getting used to UDK for the past few months, creating and importing content -- but I noticed something that could be very problematic for my project. The player takes a bit too long to adjust to new lighting conditions. It's possible for him to run right through a lit area without becoming lighter. I poked around the documentation a bit, found the article on light environments, and saw that there's a setting to change the minimum interval between updates.

I'm not going to be doing the programming, but I'd just like to make sure that it's possible to shorten (not remove) the time it takes for the player to look like he belongs where he's standing. Maybe point me in the right direction for doing this if I misunderstood the documentation.

I'm still not very knowledgeable when it comes to UDK, so I hope all of that made sense.

Set MinTimeBetweenFullUpdates to a lower value. It's not exposed to the UI anymore so you have to set it in gameplay code.

That confirms it, then. Thank you very much for your reply.
