    Textures

    when i try to import textures it comes up with a message saying import failed. does anybody have any ideas as to why this might be happening?

    Are they in powers of 2? 256, 512, 1024...

      As Mogget noted the most common reason for failure, is that your texture is not in a power of 2. I think the second most common is that your using a exotic file type or form of compression. After which perhaps "too big" is the next common, although with UE3 I think we can go up to 3K somthing on a texture material.

        yeah it worked. it wasnt a power of 2 thanks guys. can't believe it was so simple. thanks alot.


        dont suppose you know how to transition from an additive map to a subtractive one if its possible.
