    And being a C++ and C# programmer, I was able to read it. So then I though, why C#?

    Wouldn't C++ be way better for a heavy game engine?
    That statement isn't true either. I know quite a few commercial games written entirely in C# without performance issues.

    Also the other small applications like UnrealFrontEnd are written in c# aswell the content browser of UnrealEd, the rest is c++.

    The UDK binary for the game was written in C++. UnrealFrontEnd is only a small tool that supplements it. I believe that was written using C#.
