About the next April 2010 update.

Hey guys,

I saw on devmaster ( http://www.devmaster.net/engines/eng...?id=25#reviews ),that the next update was supposed to be on Saturday,April 10 2010.
Check the "Last Updated" section.

What is the hold up ?

So Epic has to update the UDK build that is available every single time someone updates that completely unrelated page on that completely unaffiliated site? Maybe someone should notify Epic about that so they can stay on schedule!

Well I prefer to wait a few more days and get a good update.
They must have a reason for delaying it.

It doesn't matter when it was last updated, but when it will be released. It probably takes a few days between one and the other, especially during a weekend.

Edit: And anyway, that date is when that web page was last updated.

No. It will be updated regularly. So far is has been updated monthly.

Hmmm,still no update.
The guys at Epic must be working on a cool new feature or something that needs to be perfected.
I think that's why it is taking some more time.
Maybe XBOX 360 / PS3 support,..................

there in no new intergalactic features in april build , but lot of useful improvements and bugfixes

i think it had/has to do with the preparation/presentation of GOW3 (trailer/interview Cliff) recently done.
They had to focus on that, and had no time to be busy with UDK. (which would be quite normal, since presure is high for such franchise releasing a new addition)
So my ideas are dual:
either an update within a week.
Or skipping April as a whole, and the next update will be May.

My serious bet will be the last option though.

This is correct. When and if there is an update we will announce it on the forums and or websites.

Thanks flak, now I know that I wont be squirreling it out of any Epic people on here as to when we will be seeing it.
