    Update texture in realtime

    Hello all!

Is it possible to update a texture in complex material in realtime from UnrealScript or Kismet? The texture may be located on disk or at known memory address and will be updated a few times per second by external application.

There is no viable solution for that approach. You could write a new package containing the texture and load that. But that won't work well if its updated a lot, it'll wreak havoc on memory usage and will be incredibly slow.

What are you trying to achieve?

I want to make realtime (or nearly realtime) reflection with webcam. And DLLBind will be of no use here either?

The problem isn't getting the data for the texture, it's the fact you can't actually turn that data into a texture at runtime. If the ScriptedTexture class wasn't broken you might be able to use that, except there's no bulk pixel access functions and it would likely perform poorly.
