i have an idea that i'd love to use in my upcoming game.
it's menu animation.
if you have ever played halo 3,[odst has the idea i'm wanting],odst has it set up so that when you press campaign for example,the menu slides down and a new menu pops up,while keeping the same background.

the above shows you what i mean if you've never played it before.
any help would be appreciated.
i don't know exactly how to make this,all i know how to do as of now is make the menu and options,but animation on it is another thing that i don't know how to do.
if any body could help me on this simple sliding menu animation i'd greatly appreciate it.
EDIT:when i said dissappears on the text by the arrow,i meant that it slides smoothly down,not completely dissappears in a split second,[like mine does].
when i said the new menu comes into play by the other arrow,i also meant that it smoothly slides in,not dissappears in a split second.
