  • How to gut the UDK

So I just packaged my first map and I realized that there is a lot of extraneous stuff that is packaged.

What I am looking to do is take out all of UI at the beginning and replace it with my own. Is there a tutorial for that somewhere?

When you package your game does it include all of the graphics and sounds that come with UDK or just the content that is involved with your game?

Also when you kill a bot there is that "first blood" announcer. How do you get rid of this and implement your own?

Basically Im looking to gut the a lot of the features that currently come with UDK. Is there any documentation on this?

I think it would be good if Epic gave you an option to use a streamlined engine. It would be nice to have to code in your game mechanics.
