Making Unreal Tournament 3 maps in UDK

    Hello!
I've been playing around a bit with both the UDK and the Unreal Tournament 3 editor for a while now. The new features in the UDK editor are really useful, making the whole mapmaking experience a whole lot more intuitive. Going back to the UT3 Editor is now rather hard. The main feature I'd like to have in the UT3 Editor is the new content browser.

Is it possible to make UT3 maps in the UDK, using the packages of UT3, or somehow use the new content browser in the UT3 Editor?

No, UDK can't read UT packages. There's a good reason for that though.

UDK can read UT3 packages, but not vice versa.

I've seen people say you can have both editors open at the same time and copy/paste between them, though, which is an old trick that goes all the way back to the first UT. How to transfer package contents is something you'll have to solve yourself though. Probably make identical packages for each editor.

Guys in any case I don't think that's a legal thing to do even if it is for free.

This comes up every day. This really needs to be in a sticky thread.

It's too bad really. The old content browser is rather slow to use.
Anyway, thanks for answering my question!
