Okay, I'm writting down some locations that seem quite scary, thanks for some of the tips. Now all I need to do is develop a monster(s) that would be quite scary, and would follow the story line.

CoffeeGrunt is right on the money.
Consider what makes a place scary. Being cut-off from the world, a sense of a bad history, a disorienting layout. Factors like these can be applied to just about any place. There are plenty of common grounds for what we consider creepy- abandoned factories, hospitals, schools, churches, subways.
If you go that route you'll have to try your hardest to out-do Silent Hill and Condemned.
A nice trick to consider is keeping as much vague as possible, and let the player fill in the gaps. What frightens us most can be so personal we might not be conscious of it.
I'm unnerved by high ceilings, blank white walls, and the Emergency Broadcast messages. That's probably not universal.

For me, the scariest place ever, in any game, is the standard T-junction. Because you have to turn your back to either one side or the other.

I always thought a twisted schoolhouse would be scary. Long empty hallways, empty classrooms, maybe something creepy scrawled on the chalkboard, occasionally you would hear little kids voices (crying, etc). Have a playground with a swing swinging by itself, etc.
    Just a thought.

I know of quite a few scary places in some parts of London, like the dungeons, or have you ever thought how it would feel being locked inside the Madam Tussauds museum at night?
Another good place is called Chiselhurst caves, situated in Kent, its open to the public, and has some very colourful history about it. I tell you how scary it is, several years ago a group of of duty police officers went down there for a night.......lets just say they didnt stay for the duration, they came out of there a bit sharpish.......

I think one of the scariest places on Earth is Pripyat. I know it's been done in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. but it's an awesome location due to the fact that it's so large, yet so abandoned. Any kind of run down, dark and gritty, location is a good place for scary stuff to happen. Also, run down derilect space ships are good. Basically it's all in the ambient sounds and lighting. Music helps too.

Well yes but every time they bury the entrance someone digs it up and at the end they just gave up. And also our country has a very crappy organisation of things so they maybe just don't care

In my city there is a park with an abandoned bunker from ww2 it goes under an area of 2 or 3 square kilometers and has 5 levels and its all narrow corridors with no lights you can easily get lost and its a perfect location for a horror movie or a game Here are some pics

Anywhere and anything can look scary. When i'm in my bedroom at night and my wardrobe is open, it's pitch black inside and i just think something is gonna jump out and pounce at me from the depths of it's darkness!!

Everyone's been through the stereotypical haunted Asylum, but it's alot more tense to be in a friendly, familiar environment that's been changed to something sinister...
I agree, a toy shop would be my choice. Cute fluffy animals mixed with horror would be a nice contrast.
