    Run a dxdiag on the machines on which it crashes. I had a similar error recently in one of my own projects, and found that the crash only seemed to occur on 64-bit operating systems, when attempting to load new levels. I was able to solve this problem by opening both UDKEngine.ini and BaseEngine.ini, locating the following entries:

    [Engine.ISVHacks]
    bInitializeShadersOnDemand=False
    and changing the boolean value to True, like so:

    save both files, recompile, and I was good to go.

    Hey guys,

    Getting a weird problem. After packaging a game, I sent it out to some friends to try and test run. The game ran fine for some, for others it crashed when they tried to load the level.
