    Lighting Won't Build missing msvcr100.dll error message

    So here's the lowdown. I'm running the 2012-10 version of UDK on my laptop at home and I'm running 64-bit Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2. But the UDK editor will not load in 64-bit, instead I have to open the 32-bit version from the Unreal Frontend. Now I only have 4 GBs of RAM (a set of 2 GB cards), so running UDK in 64-bit would be pointless anyway, BUT I cannot get my lightmass to build in my game level. I've tried messing with it and I can get it to build if I de-select the use lightmass checkbox in the build lighting menu, but then it of course looks like poop. When I try to build with the lightmass it starts going then as soon as the SwarmAgent launches I get the error message "missing msvcr100.dll" which ironically is the same message I get when I try running the 64-bit version of UDK editor.

    Just to be clear, I've checked to make sure I have all my .NET framework, and this so-called missing msvcr100.dll file exists in my Win32 folder. I also have all the redistributables and all my updates installed.

    Could this just be a matter of not having enough memory and even if I upgraded to the maximum of 8 GBs my HP dv7-1175nr can hold, would that be enough? I would rather invest in a new tower than upgrade my old laptop. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

    Unsetup is not installing the 64 bit version of http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/downl....aspx?id=14632

      This was the error message I got when I went to install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x64)
      So what does that mean now?!

        There's a Sp1 version that's newer that should already be installed.

          Ok sorry now I'm lost. Can you help guide me through some steps so I can get this package successfully installed so I can run the 64-bit UDK editor? Thank you

              PROBLEM SOLVED: So first of all I needed to find out that it was okay to uninstall the 2010 redistributables packages (both x86 and x64), then I proceeded to uninstall both then I immediately reinstalled them. Then I uninstalled UDK then reinstalled it bingo the 64-bit version launched without that MSVCR100.DLL error message. To make sure, I built my lighting just now and it worked just fine. Thanks so much!
