    UDK crashes on XPS 15 Laptop

    Hello and thank you for taking a look at my thread

    Currently I'm doing an internship with Ubisofts Acadamia proto contest and opted to use my own laptop to do it. Its an XPS 15, 8gigs ram, Nvidia gforce 540m 2gig, i7 2.20 ghz. Not too shabby for a laptop.

    However, on one of our proto maps (we're probably not gonna keep it) UDK crashes. I suspect it has to do with a blur or fog effect (a guess).
    The files it says it can't find are at the addresses specified. And I did the PreCachedPhysScale thing, that error message went away after, but the game still crashes. Also to note, it takes approx 6 seconds for it to crash and happens anywhere on the map, which is of decent size. (maybe 20k unreal units in L W and H?) and happens only on this map. Another of at least 4x the size is perfectly stable.

    Thank you for any information. Also, I did check another thread about setting a generateShadersOnDemand boolean in the config file for UDK and engine to no avail.
