UDK Crashes when I load it

    UDK Crashes when I load it

    When ever I load the Editor it crashes saying "Ran out of video memory", when I open the 64-bit of the game as well it crashes.

    However when I open the 32 bit of the game it doesn't crash, but I can't see any 32-bit of the Editor.

    What is my error?

    My CP Specs
    64 Bit - Windows 7
    Intel Core 2 Quad Core CPU Q8300 @ 2.50GHz
    ATI Radeon HD 5800 Series (It's the 1GB or 2GB Version)
    4GB RAM

    All drivers are up to date.
    Registry all fixed.
    Latest versions of Windows 7 updates.
    DirectX9.

        alright with your specs you shouldn't have a problem, i use UDK with a low spec pc and a high spec pc both of them work fine, take a look at this file UDKGame\Content\GameAssetDatabase.checkpoint and see if it is set to read only,
        maybe that's the error do you have the same thing with all versions of UDK ?

            That's a bit ominous," I did a registry fix" Looking at your log it can't find anything......And this looks very serious "Address = 0xfe3acacd (filename not found) [in C:\Windows\system32\KERNELBASE.dll]"
            Did you use a registry cleaner or manually delete entries?

            Registry cleaners are notoriously **** and never work, they just mess your system up.......If you deleted entries yourself, I think you've killed Windows!

              Have you got a good antivirus ? if yes do a full system scan norton360 has a full system scan that can scan broken registries it notified me before when i had broken entries ( had to do a full system restore), if you downloaded a software like LexLuthor mentioned then your registry will be "destroyed",

                Dam, installed it, did a registry fix. It did find some issues, but then the exact same issues are happening.

                  It says .NET v2.0? UDK requires .NET 4.0 I believe. Did you update that? Is this the first time you installing and running UDK or have you had it working before and this problem all of sudden start?

                    I've been using Windows Update, I'll try and manually download that now.
