Hello everybody.

I'm new to UDK, and I was using the Jan-2011 version. A few days ago I downloaded the Jan-2012 version and made a separate install (since I didn't want to mess with existing content) and I've been having a few problems with it.

Apart from the stability issues ("BUILT WITH UDK stopped working" error occurring from time to time) other users have reported, I'm having a very strange problem with textures. When I'm in the editor, textures doesn't appear at all, only lighting information. When I'm in gaming mode - or playing -, everything is fine.

Note that I'm in Lit mode, not in Lighting Only - as one might think.

I haven't changed any settings. It started gradually: At first, everything worked fine and sometimes while editing a level, textures would disappear. I would then restart UDK and everything was back to normal. Now it happens from the moment I start UDK, whether I'm editing a level I created, one that came with UDK or if I start a new one from scratch.

It happens both with DX9 and DX11 renderers.

Here are my specs:
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
AMD Athlon II X2 240 2.8ghz
XFX Radeon HD 5870 (Catalyst v12.1)
4gb RAM

I've searched Google and UDN Forums, but didn't find anybody with similar issues.

I'm only using content that came with UDK (since I'm still only studying UDK).
