    attaching particle system to pawn

    i'm trying to attach a laser beam to my pawn (not necessarily the weapon). the way i've gone about doing this is to attach a particle system to the pawn but i'm not having any success. here's what i've tried to do:

    Begin Object Class=ParticleSystemComponent Name=ParticleSystemComponent1
    Template=ParticleSystem'myfx.Particles.MyBeam'
    End Object
    
    Components.Add(ParticleSystemComponent1)
    }
    it doesn't even spawn the particle system. where have i gone wrong?

    UPDATE: it seems to spawn the beam only AFTER a pawn dies and respawns...

      I believe this is a very late reply, but the code works perfectly for me.
