  • Changing a Weapons Firing Vector

    I extended the UTPawn class to modify the camera, giving me a top down persepective, and I'm trying to change the fire vector of weaponry so that it shoots straight from the player parallel to the ground, but I've not been able to find what code controls the vector of weapon fire. By default, it seems to be firing to the camera crosshair. I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction.

    You might only need to change GetPlayerViewPoint() in your Controller class... If that doesn't do it, just start tracing it back from your weapon's firing functions.

      Well, Chris2009 posted a solution that worked for me over in this thread. I just put that GetAdjustedAimFor function into my extended PlayerController class, and it worked like a charm.
