    Blur background when opening menu (DOF)

    I'd like to trigger a blur effect when the player opens the menu while in game (so that the blur fx in on the background and the menu is normal).

    The effect I'm after is the same as the depth of field effect. Anyone know what the general practice is for achieving this. Or are people just modifying that DOF in world properties?
