    Character in menu

    what I want to do i place the character in the menu, how hard is this to be done?

    Typically you will need to use render targets, but there is also the trick of creating a duplicate of the model and changing the depth priority so it appears in front of everything else.

        Yeah render targets are common in very many games which is to render the current scene to texture in order to apply post processing fx like bloom, antialiasing and even shadows. I recall that the game Dungeon Defenders rendered their characters to the hud, but you'd have to check up with them about that.

          If you are talking about a menu with a character in the scene just make your menu and create a level. Place the characters skeletal mesh in the level and animate it with matinee (obviously) use a camera actor and directors track in matinee to put the view on the character. Done. Let me know if you need more intel.
