Hi again everyone, I'm trying to create a simple flag which would have its cloth part simulated by UDK. I've mainly been following this tutorial LINK, and although it is for Max I googled around a bit and found a Maya workaround LINK. I'm definitely no rigger, but this seemed simple enough. So what I have is a simple cube for the pole, and a plane for the cloth; I added two joints and weight painted them accordingly - one of them influences the pole, the other influences the cloth. I imported the .fbx file into UDK as a skeletal mesh and double clicked on it to see the simulation, but after setting everything up the way the tutorial people did, absolutely nothing happens. UDK does see both the joints and the weight painting on the vertices, but it applies no simulation at all. Only thing that does happen is that once the mesh is placed on the map, the bit of the mesh that's supposed to be the cloth falls down and through the level.
Any ideas what the problem might be? I'm probably missing something as I didn't really follow my rigging lectures, but after double and triple checking multiple times I'm completely stuck now; any help is greatly appreciated
