    Full Presicion UV's

    If I check "Use full presicion UV's" would I still need to make at least 4 pixel padding between clusters in ligtmap UVs ?
    If not what is the benefit of this option ?

    That option probably stores the UV coordinates at a higher precision--where a point might have previously been at something like 0.438,0.381 it might now be saved at 0.438129,0.3814729
    UDK compresses everything so storing the UV coordinates with less numbers takes up less space but isn't quite exact. Most of the time it doesn't matter much.
    But yes, you'd still have to have padding.

      Alright thanks, I got my answer.
      Off the topic, why the padding is necesseary for lightmaps ?
      Is it for the mipmap downsample interpolation ?
      I dont think so cuz light and shadows wouldnt bleed in closer look then.
      I thought it was about presicion, if it is not what is it for then ?
