Strange 3DS Max Error...

Hey Guys.

So today when I started max a strange thing happened. It starts and loads in , but once the 4 viewports are shown they do not load in.
They stay as solid gray boxes and 3ds Max becomes labeled as "not responding."

I tried restarting my computer to no avail...

Something else odd is that if I minimize Max, in the background Max has the starting screen going. Its as if they are conflicting...
I cant for the life of me figure out why!

Anyone know what could be causing this?

I'd very much like to not have to re-install it...

P.S. All the other creation suite programs (Maya, Mudbox, Softimage...) load fine, its only max...

try installing the latest driver for your graphics card.

Try going to C:\Users\*your name*\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\*your version*\ENU and deleting the config file. Don't worry 3ds max will make a new one for you when it starts up.) This will reset all of your settings and clear any issues. (like a reinstall only faster) Best luck!
