    Strange shadow problem with spotlight

I'm having a problem which I cant seem to figure out and I was hoping one of you guys could help. I have a flashlight in my game and when I look around it works great. However when I look in a certain direction I get a strange shadow line like the light just stops reaching. I think its because of the bump map I have compression set to Normal map. The thing is, is that it only happens when facing X-Y direction. I have attached a photo to show my problem.

It has been lightmassed and UV's have been properly done.

    Thanks

Thats the problem. I have tried other materials. Some do it and some don't. What could be behind this so I know what material types to avoid or I can better augment my workflow. All materials are created through CrazyBump.

How are you setting the normal map compression? When you import the normal map, make sure it's set then, not after the texture is already imported.
