    when import skeletal mesh, udk dosenot showing smooth mesh why?static mesh works only

    i have devloped charaterin maya and smoothed it by pressing 3.now when i imort it into udk it doesnt show smooth mesh ......

      If you're doing what I think, you aren't actually smoothing/subdividing the mesh but rather smoothing it just for the viewport, which isn't actually applied to the mesh.
      If your mesh is coming in with a faceted look, then that's a problem with smoothing groups. That setting can be controlled with the FBX export settings and the import setting in UDK. Smoothing groups are about making polygons appear to be smoothed together, rather than actually being subdivided.

        Ok but then what are steps to do make mesh smooth in maya quickly...?
