    Problem import animations

    Hi, this is my first post here. Im programmer so i dont have too much idea of animation, rigging and everything. I´ve been last weeks importing models from Resident Evil to Udk, it looked like the bones are wrong but works fine with some characters like Leon, Claire,....but the problem comes when i tried to import the zombies models, i dont know why but the left arm and the legs doesnt get the animattoins just in UDK but goes well in 3dsmax

    There definitelly is something wrong with the bones. It seems to me You did some copying and mirroring of Your bonestructures after IK was applied.

    My coclusion is the bonestructure. Incorrect skin parameter (some vertices not assigned) might also be the problem.
    But from my point of vie the broken bonestructure would be the prime suspect.

      Try to export it as a psa and psk file. Because such stuff sometimes happens when you export it as a fbx

        But the animations works fine in 3ds, just not works in UDK and just for this character

          The original files are in psa and psk already, and no works. Thanks anyway.

            Ahhhh i know what the problem is, the name of the bones of some characters (like Leon) are LeftHand, Head, Neck,.... but the names of the bones of other characters (like zombies) are _01, _02,_03....

            When the name of the bone reach to _10 Udk change the name to None, so the bone doesnt have name, anyone knows how to fix this??

              Just renamen them in your 3d program

                yeah i fix it, rename it the bones with 3ds, exported to fbx and the rename it in the animaiton with a Hexdecimal Editor
