    Viking Character Smoothing Issue?

I just recently made a viking character for a game I'm working on
but I've noticed that it didn't really export or import right? I hit soften edge in Maya right before export, but then when I get into UDK, It has very visible polys that don't seem to have very good smoothing.
Notice how the arm shows very visible polys with my toon shader, as well as on the helmet's left horn

Additionally, it's very evident in the first image's feet. Does anyone know a fix for this? Thanks!

(Please put your images in shots tags and seperate from from your lines.)

Make sure you have set the exporter to export smoothing groups.

The FBX Exporter is still set to export smoothing groups, that hasn't fixed the problem...

I found out the error. On the importer, I had to select the import tangents and use explicit normals selection boxes. Doing so fixed the issue!
        HOWEVER
Something like that only worked for the static mesh. When I animated it and imported it with as a skeletal mesh, the issue resurfaced. Is there some sort of explicit normals thing for skeletal meshes?
