    Making a door fit

    Is there any tips on how to make a door mesh fit inside your static mesh?

        Have you tried making the door slightly larger* than the wall? We players tend to forgive you for some clipping.

        *Height x Width

          Since the building has collision and the door has collision + is a Kactor, if the door is to large it hit's the wall and gets stuck. Also, it has to be a Kactor, not matinee since I need the player to be able to kick the door open.

            Have a player event trigger an animation through matinee of the door being kicked open?

              If that doesn't work your only option is to either ununiformly Scale the door (which will most likely skew your textures) or remodel it. UDK generally doesn't have tools to fix user modeling errors. If you model it wrong, it's your job to go back and fix your mistakes.

                I'm not the modeler lol but we kinda found a workaround.

                Made a static mesh of a door frame to cover our mistake
