    Nevermind!!!....Okay, I finally figured it out myself! It was a problem with the multiple uv channels. The first channel can use the image/ leaves stacked on one another but then the second uv channel must be separated to get rid of the overlapping uv's and light correctly...

    Tree Leaves / Overlapping Uv's / Blender 3D

    When a tree is made with leaves as image planes in Blender 3D they all stack up on each other in the uv template sharing the same uv space along with the image, which is overlapping. So when the leaves are in UDK they all receive the same lighting and does not look good. Is it possible in Blender 3D to separate them automatically and assign the image texture by material to each individual leaf plane so each leaf is in its own uv space on the uv template???
