Material allignment on an imported static mesh

    Hi all,

I was trying to set up a floor in UDK, for which i imported the static mesh from 3ds max 2012(with 2 channels and with collision). But after applying material to the floor i cant access surface properties for UV tiling. If i apply the same material to a UDK brush, i am able to access the surface properties. I am attaching an image for more clarity. Can anyone tell me how to tile the material on a static mesh??

Static meshes work quite different than BSP Brushes.
You need to adjust the material to change the U/V tiling. Add a TexCoord node and plug that into your texture(s). In the TexCoord nodes properties you can set the UTiling and VTiling values.

Personally, I'd fix the UV's in MAX. If the workflow is good from the start, you won't need to tweak the UV's on your material. That way, your material can be used all over the place without having to create instances and tweak UV's per-object.
