    Texture 8 bit (only one colour layer)

    Hello Every body !
    Is there a way to import in UDK some 8 bits texture with only one 256 gray layer ?
    I know I can import a 24 bits texture and use each colour layer separately but it's a mess for me in some case.

    just use a constant vector in the material editor for solid colors, not a smart move to waste draw calls.

      He's talking about using a black and white image rather than RGB (one channel). And that's not possible, if you try to import an image set to grayscale it won't import.

        Yes Dartviper107, you got my point ^^.
        I finally reorganised my textures to put 3 of them in a 24bit image.
