    Breakable Windows

    Ok here is my problem. I am trying to put breakable windows in my model and I know I can do this with a fractured mesh. However if I have a building with say 30 windows that mean I have to copy and move 30 fractured meshes which is a right pain. Is there anyway I could make a fractured material. In other words apply material to the windows but make the material behave like a fractured mesh?

    I would be grateful to know of a quick way to make breakable models without having to go through the above proccess

    Use Alpha channel and switch material.

        This is only for visual effect, it will not remove collision. Shall i continue..?

            I suppose, your static mesh have already different material for windows - if not do this. Use Photoshop to make new texture with Alpha channel - based on original. This will be your broken window. Now, whenever you need simply replace original material with broken.

            BTW. Alpha channel: white - visible, black - invisible.
